Create service account

This page describes how to create a new user in Salesforce with System Administrator rights.

Instructions

Create new user in Salesforce

  1. Open Service Setup in Salesforce:

     

  2. Click on Users > Users:

     

  3. Create a new user and choose for System Administrator* under Profile:

  4. Log in with the new user and create/reset the security token. See Get (or reset) security token in Salesforce (by end-user)

* Password expiration in Salesforce

In stead of using the System Administrator profile it is also possible to use a copy of the default Salesforce System Administrator Profile and disable the expiration of passwords in this profile! See Manage Password Expiration with Password Policies and Permission Sets on help.salesforce.com.
