Create a service account in SharePoint

DocuFlow is tied to SharePoint via a service account.

Rights
DocuFlow makes it possible to retrieve or write documents and/or metadata from SharePoint.
Depending on what is implemented, all read and write rights must be granted to the service account, respectively.

  • It is important that these read and write permissions are granted at least at the SharePoint Site level.
    The SharePoint Site with which DocuFlow initially connects to SharePoint.

  • After this connection has been made, it is possible to deviate from this 'landing site' for each process step by defining a different Site/Library/Folder in each process step.Naturally, the service account must also have the correct read and write rights here.

The service account can be linked with DocuFlow as well as via:

  • Standard OAuth

  • User name and password (when MFA is not enabled)
